Scott Albert Pogrelis of Wright City, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on April 5, 2024 at the age of 62. He was the beloved husband of Lori Pogrelis (nee: Boland); He is survived by his two sons, Dane (Stephanie) Pogrelis of Wentzville, MO, Ben (Whitney) Pogrelis of Wright City, MO; two brothers, Tim (Lori) Pogrelis of Moscow Mills, MO, Ron Pogrelis of Moscow Mills, MO; sister, Saundra (Ernie) Pogrelis of Wright City, MO; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Mason, Colton, Madison, Benson, Willa; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by his father, Mac Pogrelis, mother, Betty Pogrelis (nee Sachs), brother, Dan Pogrelis.
Scott was married to his high school sweetheart for 39 years, they shared a deep faith and trust in the Lord. Everything he did, he did with integrity. He was in construction most of his working life. The last 15 years were spent as a general contractor building custom homes. Scott was a man of many talents, he was a remarkable musician. He played guitar and sang in a band, around many bon fires, and small gatherings. He was a world champion sled dog driver, coached high school roller hockey, fast pitch softball and played slow pitch softball for over 45 years. He also loved boating, sking, dirt track racing, flying RC airplanes and anything to do with big trucks. But what he enjoyed the most is loving, helping and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Scott was happiest in boots and jeans, in honor of him, the family welcomes you to wear your boots and jeans, if this is how you are most comfortable.
