Paul William Schattgen passed away on January 27, 2016 at the age of 84. He was the beloved husband of Joyce Schattgen nee Fletcher of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. He is survived by his two sons, P.Tod (Kimmi) Schattgen of New Bloomfield, MO and Steven R. (Marnie) Schattgen of Fredericksburg, VA; step-son, Richard Wessbecher of Chesterfield, MO; daughter, Laura S. (Joseph) Giorgianni of Coventry, RI; step-daughter, Janet (Michael) Korman of Englewood, FL; brother, David A. (Judy) Schattgen of Hannibal, MO; eight grandchildren, Will, Charlie, Abbie, Graham, Maya, Hamilton and Reid Schattgen and Izzi Giorgianni. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mildred Schattgen nee Schmiedeskamp and first wife, Margot Schattgen nee Rogers. Paul served in the United States Army. He was the owner of Schattgen's Bake Shop and was a member of the Master Bakers Association. He loved to go sailing, race sail boats, golf and eat delicious food. Paul was also a member of the Lake St. Louis Ambassadors. His family was one of this greatest joys and he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed.
