Theron Cleveland (T.C.) Long, Jr. died July 30, 2016 at the age of 78. Born June 3, 1938 in Bloomfield Township, Missouri to Theron Cleveland Long and Edna Marie (Robinson) Long, he was one of 12 children. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. T.C. worked at McDonnell Douglas as an electrician for 36 years. He loved to be outside and was an avid fisherman. He was a rare gentle soul who helped all those he met in any way he could, and never knew a stranger who he didn't make a friend. He passed on to his children and grandchildren a love of nature and of collecting "treasures," and a desire to do good in the world. He will be dearly missed but his stories and memories will live on. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Thomure) Long, of Winfield, Missouri; daughters Pamela (Jeff) Martinez and Penny (Glenn) Norrie of Orrtanna, Pennsylvania and Dana (Nathan) Lashly of St. Louis, Missouri; stepdaughter Becky (Larry) Graves of Winfield, Missouri; son Jerry (Cindy) Long of Garden City, Missouri; and stepson Chuck Jackson of Doe Run, Missouri; 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers Mike, Darrell, Ernie and Robin; sisters Shannon, Sandy and Patricia. He was preceded in death by brothers Bob and John; sisters Shirley and Linda.
