H. Robert Pank (Bob) of Lake St. Louis, Mo. passed away at age 85 on Monday December 26, 2016. He was born on November 6, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio where he attended school. Bob graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in Economics and Management. Bob married Esther Syler and together they had 4 children. They later divorced and Bob married Mary Manhardt on December 22, 1978. Bob's served in the Army during the Korean War in the Pentagon. His career included Shell Oil Company and the Dale Carnegie Organization. He provided business management consulting services across the world until his retirement. Bob served in his church with his wife Mary, served on the Board of Directors for the MOSAICS Festival for the Arts, was a past Commissioner of the Saturday morning golf league, and was an actor in several City Voices shows. In the last few years, Bob pursued his artistic interest in pastels, taking classes and creating beautiful works for family and friends. Bob was a unique person, always taking everything in stride and with class. A friend to all that met him, a gracious host in his home to all that visited and willing to help anyone at anytime. He was a true Gentlemen's Gentleman!
Bob is survived by Mary, his wife of 38 years, children Marey Oakes, Bryan Pank, Judith Strain, Jennifer Snyder, Mel Manhardt, Brian Manhardt, 16 Grandchildren, one brother Richard Pank, two sisters, Mary Lou Hagen, and Sr. Jane Pank. A memorial service will be held at the Wentzville United Methodist Church on January 27, 2017 at 10:30am.
