Obituary
Ellen Jane Gonzenbach, nee Lienhop, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Nov 3, 2017 at the age of 92. She was born on Dec 13, 1924 to Eugene and Louise Lienhop in St. Louis, MO. She was married to Eugene Gonzenbach on Nov 18, 1944 in Salem Evangelical & Reformed Church in St. Louis, MO. She is survived by her daughter, Judith A. (Anthony) DeJohn of Chesterfield, MO; son, Jack E. (Vanessa) Gonzenbach of Olathe, KS; three granddaughters - Jennifer DeJohn of Chesterfield, MO, Cathie (Greg) Starrett of Blue Springs, MO, Laura (Joshua) Ray of Olathe, KS, grandson Anthony J. DeJohn of Falls Church, VA, and her 7 beloved great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Eugene R. Gonzenbach, son Mark Gonzenbach, mother Louise Lienhop, father Eugene Lienhop, brother Eugene Lienhop, brother Harold Lienhop, sister Mildred Punch, sister Dorothy Warren, and brother Lester Lienhop. Ellen and Gene were charter members of Lake Forest CC and enjoyed many nice days playing golf. Ellen also enjoyed participating in the Garden Club and the Extension Club. She lived in Lake St. Louis for 38 years and attended Faith United Church of Christ in Wentzville, MO. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a very special lady.
