Gerald "Jerry" Flynn passed away on November 10, 2017, at the age of 91. He was the beloved husband of Judith Flynn nee Yost of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; He is survived by his five sons, John (Meg) Flynn, Daniel (Marsha) Flynn, James Flynn, Robert (Yvonne) Flynn, Liam (Jessica) Flynn; son-in law, Thomas Parker; ten grandchildren, Andrew (Hilary) Parker, Theresa (Alex) Hansen, Laura Parker, Sarah (John) Robb, Katherine (Thomas) Shannon, Sean Flynn, Shannon (Michael) Doty, Mara Flynn, Tess Flynn, Lachlan Flynn; two great-grandchildren, River Doty, Mary Robb; step-son, Gregory Learst; step-daughter, Cheryl (Ed) McCarthy; four step-grandchildren, Margaret McCarthy; Grace McCarthy; Amira McCarthy, Ian McCarthy; He was preceded in death by his first wife, Agnes Flynn; daughter, Barbara Parker; mother, Mabel Sehy, step-father, Albert Sehy. Jerry was a member of the Advisory Board St. Joseph Hospital West, Lake Saint Louis; St. Patrick Catholic Church, Wentzville, MO; Knights of Columbus Third Degree; Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Honor Guard. Eleven years on Lake Saint Louis City Board of Alderman, Recipient of the 1998 Commerce Bank Community Service Award, Liaison between City of Lake St. Louis and Lake St. Louis Community Association, Lake St. Louis Community Association Silt Committee, Lake St. Louis Ambassadors (member and past president), Wentzville, MO; Rotary International (member and past president), past director Lake St. Louis Chamber of Commerce, Life Member Lake St. Louis VFW Post 10350 (member and past commander), Life member Lake St. Louis American Legion Post 623, Lake St. Louis Anglers Club (member and past vice-president) Lake St. Louis Pontooners (member and past commodore), Lake St. Louis Sailing Club, Lake St. Louis Cookout Group. Prior to 1985: 1983-1985 Vice-President Waterhout-Flynn Contractors (General Contracting); 1982-1983 President Flynn Marine Brokers (sold marine equipment, boats, barges, cranes, and surveyed marine equipment). 1978-1982 Vice-President Marine Loss Control (surveyed marine equipment, sold marine equipment, i.e., towboats, barges, etc.). 1971-1981 Ten year Council Member and one year as Acting Mayor, Richmond Heights, Mo; 1963-1978 President Mid-Valley Towing Co. (owned and operated towboats towing barges on inland rivers). 1961-1963 President Flynn Equipment Company (Distributor of laundry and dry cleaning equipment). 1954-1961 District Manager (Buick Motor Division, General Motors Corporation). 1948-1954 Parts Manager, Service Manager and Salesman (Buick Dealership). 1943-1946 U.S. Navy, WWII Pacific Theater. Jerry will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
