The history of Pitman Funeral Home dates back to 1922 when the business was first established by Tarlton E. and Annetta M. Pitman. In 1955, their son, T. Jim Pitman became active in managing the funeral home.

T. Eric Pitman became involved in the business after completing his education in 1987. He holds a degree in business, with a minor in psychology. Eric is a nationally certified embalmer, with a Missouri Funeral Director's license.

Many changes have been made through the years, to provide the highest level of service to each family, with the most recent being the construction of our modern facility on Wentzville Parkway. Today, as owner of Pitman Funeral Home, Eric continues the trusted service, as he guides the business from the past on into the future.

This customized Harley-Davidson motorcycle hearse is available upon request to families who use Pitman Funeral Home.

Pitman Funeral Home provides funeral home tours for educational purposes, to schools, church groups, and various community organizations.

Throughout the year, we attend local community fairs, providing information on Advanced Planning, Grief Services, and funeral services.

Pitman Funeral Home has three free-standing tents, which they loan out free of charge, for community and school activities, fairs, weddings, church and family picnics, etc. The tents are offered on an as-available basis. To reserve a tent please call 636-327-6600.
