Alan "Butch" Dixon Obituary

Alan "Butch" Dixon  passed away on May 31, 2021 at the age of 79. He was the beloved husband of Billie Dixon nee Teson of Troy, Missouri. He is survived by his three sons, Keith (Jennifer) Dixon of Jonesburg, MO, Gary (Bonnie) Dixon of Troy, MO, and Terry Dixon of Troy, MO; three daughters, Lisa (Jeffrey) Beasley of Kingdom City, MO, Vicki (Paul) Matney of Foley, MO, and Gail (Buddy) McCafferty of New Florence, MO; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Dixon; mother, Lillian Dixon nee Burcham; brothers, Floyd and David Brower; sisters, Virginia Hollingworth, and June Brower; and granddaughter, Constance Beasley. Butch was very hardworking, having worked seven days a week until the day he retired. However, he still found time to enjoy many things including horse pulling, attending wrestling matches and Missouri football games, and watching John Wayne western films.  He also thoroughly enjoyed  his Nutty Bars, coffee, cigarettes, Dr. Pepper, anything chocolate, and of course Stag beer in a glass bottle. Most of all, Butch loved getting together with his family, especially for barbecue and beer. He will surely be missed by all who knew him.
