Audrey Mae Mallinckrodt

Audrey Mae Mallinckrodt, 100, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on January 11, 2025. Audrey, daughter of Helmuth Mallinckrodt and Margaret (nee Cashell), was born October 15, 1924 in Augusta, Missouri. She graduated from Augusta High School and moved to Dayton, Ohio. 

Audrey worked for the IRS in Dayton for 64 years, retiring in 2007.  Audrey also worked at WPAFB Hospital as a nurse's aide, Red Cross of Dayton, and Rikes Department Store. She was past president several times of the BPW (Business Professional Women's Club), a member of the NARFE Association (National Active and Retired Federal Employee Association). 

Audrey's hobbies included art; she was a member of the Dayton Art Institute for years. She also enjoyed the theater and volunteered for years as an usher, first for Memorial Hall until they closed, the Loft, Victoria Theater, and the Schuster Center of Dayton.

Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, Helmuth and Margaret Mallinckrodt, three brothers, Chester Mallinckrodt, Stanley (Mildred) Mallinckrodt, Earl Mallinckrodt, and one sister, Hazel (Bill) Kratochvil.

Audrey is survived by one sister-in-law, Janet Mallinckrodt of Augusta, MO; a niece, Jennifer Mallinckrodt and her husband David Speckhals of Augusta, MO; two nephews, Mark (Merlita) Mallinckrodt of San Diego, CA and Karl (Carol) Mallinckrodt of Chesapeake, VA; three great-nephews, one great-niece, five great-great nieces, and four great-great-nephews.
