Barbara Rodgers Obituary

Barbara Elizabeth Rodgers (Cain), of Lake St. Louis, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, at the age of 80. She was born on October 12, 1944, to the late Frank and Flora Cain (Lenhardt).

Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love and kindness touched all who knew her. She is survived by her loving sister, Sharon (Carl) Henley, and her children: Wayne (Marita) Rodgers Jr. of St. Charles, MO; Ron (Petra) Rodgers of Brandon, FL; Dalena (Dan) Klinetobe of Spencer, IA; and Richard (Alisha) Rodgers of Lake St. Louis, MO. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert Wayne Rodgers Sr., her mother, Flora Marie Lenhardt Cain, and her father, Frank Elmer Cain.

Barbara’s faith was the foundation of her life. She found great joy in reading the Bible, often sharing that time with her late husband. She lived her faith through quiet selflessness, always placing the needs of others before her own. Barbara was a gentle soul who never sought attention but remained the heart and center of her family.

She cherished the moments when her family was together, finding her greatest happiness in their love and laughter. It was a rare occasion to see Barbara without a baby in her arms and a warm smile on her face. Her unwavering love, kindness, and strength will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
