Bessie J. (Higgins) Nelson

Bessie Nelson of Moscow Mills, MO passed away on September 5, 2022 at the age of 86. 

Bessie was born in Salem, MO to Lionel and Sylvia Higgins (nee Mooney) and graduated from Salem High School.  She married Roy Nelson on December 26, 1958 in Rolla, MO.  Bessie worked at the McDonald's in Cave Springs for 20 years.  She loved taking care of her grandkids and great-grandkids and taking day trips exploring the area.  

She is survived by her husband; Roy; daughter, Betty J. Nelson of Moscow Mills, MO; four siblings, Betty Hodges of Rolla, MO, Bobby Higgins of Rolla, MO, Bonnie (Hiram) King of St. Peters, MO, Jerry (Laura May) Higgins of Rolla, MO; sister-in-law, Jessie (Eugene) Watkins of Salem, MO; three grandchildren, Angela (Joe) Smith of St. Charles, MO, David (Valeria) Killian of Elsberry, MO, Josh (Jennifer) Killian of Foristell, MO;  ten great-grandchildren; Taylor, Liberty, Dominic, Destiny, Noah, Andrew, Emily, Rachel, Autumn, and Lacy.  She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Debbie Killian, great-grandson, Matthew Killian, great-granddaughter, Lauren Smith, sister, Billie Hargis. She will be dearly missed by many family and friends.
