Betty Hay Obituary

Betty June Hay passed away on November 22, 2020 at the age of 86. She was the beloved wife of James Hay of Detroit, Michigan; She is survived by her son, Glenn Thomas (Carolyn) Hay of O'Fallon, MO; daughter, Kit S. (Henry) Alvarez of Moscow Mills, MO; four Grandchildren, Sarah Hay, Nathan James (Antoinette) Hay, Jesse Thomas (Megan) Hay, Samuel Gilbert Hay; great-grandchildren, Eloize, Josephine, and Jack Hay; She is preceded in death by her husband, James Donald Hay, father, Herbert Glen Bedford, mother, Stella Bedford nee Hetherington, sister, Shirley McPhail. Betty was a wonderful wife and mother. While she was a homemaker, she also did many other jobs. Betty was a Camp Fire Girl leader, a Boy Scouts of America supporter, bank teller and a volunteer. She volunteered as a Pheresis blood donor for children with cancer, Hospital front desk greeter, knitted baby clothes and blankets for Shriner's Hospital. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. No services will be held
