Bonita Jean Howland (nee: Johnson) passed away on June 6, 2025 at the age of 80. Bonita was born October 10, 1944 in Stamford, TX to the late William and Oleta Johnson (nee: George).
She is survived her children, Kathy Salinas, Becky (Mike) Gentrup, David (Teresa) Howland, Bill Howland; five grandchildren Steven Gentrup, Collin Gentrup, Sarah (Dylan) Hilker, Ashley Ecton, Loren Howland; one great-grandson, Preston Hilker; niece, Erica Partlow-Melton; four great-nieces, Carlie Melton, Raeley Melton, Gentry Melton, Taylor Partlow; great-nephew, Cooper Partlow; She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband David Howland, Sr.
Bonita was born and raised in Texas, and was very proud to be a Texan, and loved her Native American background. Bonita was a very loving, affectionate woman who loved her family and always greeted everyone with a smile. Her affectionate and big heart showed thru many years of her and her husband David being foster parents to many children for several years. Bonita was also very proud and supportive of her husband and his Air Force career. Bonita had a love for quilting, cooking and reading in her spare time, and she loved her dog Dudley. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
