That reminds me of a joke. When you heard that, you knew Butch Bass was around and lots of laughter was coming. He was a nut that didnt' fall far from his parents', Everett and Linda , tree.
Brantley "Butch" Everett Bass passed away on May 2, 2023 at the age of 63. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Linda, loved and loving son, Cole, sister, Stephanie, grandchildren Lakyn and Kashton, step: children, Kevin and Kari, grandchildren Kelsey, Katelyn and Kevin, great-granddaughter, Sophia, along with other family members and many, many friends.
Butch owned and ran Tri-County Insulation for over 25 years, loved riding and trading horses, living on our small "ranch' in Jonesburg and spending time with family. He was great with kids whether they were family members or others. They all knew where the cookies and popsicles were and he was the chief ride giver, whether it was a tractor, mower or four-wheeler.
He could be a "little" hard-headed at times but had a heart as big as Texas. He was the first on the call list for many family members and friends when they needed to talk to someone for advice, encouragement or a reality check.
A celebration of life will be held at the Community Hall in Jonesburg across from the Jonesburg State Bank on Saturday, May 20 from 2:00 to 6:00. Snacks, soda and water will be provided, and you are welcome to bring other beverages. If you knew Butch, please try to stop by to share memories of a man who made us all laugh, truly cared about everyone and shared so much of himself with others.
