Bryant Burkeen of Wentzville, Missouri passed away on April 11, 2024 at the age of 82. He was born October 17, 1941, son of Guy and Catherine (Lott) Burkeen, one of ten children.
Bryant met and married his wife Kay McCormick, they were married 61 years, and raised three children together. Bryant’s career spanned over 44 years at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing. He liked to travel, he and Kay traveled all around the continental United States and for over 25 consecutive years he took trips to watch the St. Louis Cardinals during spring training. Bryant loved the Lord and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Wentzville. He also enjoyed playing solitaire on the computer, listening to music, and loved spending time doing yard work.
He is survived by his beloved wife Kay (McCormick) Burkeen; his two daughters, Shari Kay (Neil) Ewing of Wentzville, MO and Nancy (Paul) Boyd of Wright City, MO; two brothers, Guy Burkeen, Jr., and Donnie Burkeen; sister-in-law, Sandy McKenzie; brother-in-law, Gerald Phillips; five grandchildren, Brittney Kay (Austin) Klein, Bradley (Melissa) Ewing, Kelly Burkeen, Alexis Venable, Haley Venable; four great-grandchildren, Brennan, Ethan, Leo, and Jackson; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his father, Guy Burkeen, mother, Catherine (Lott) Burkeen, son, Bruce Burkeen, brothers, Glenn Burkeen, Jerry Burkeen, Paul Burkeen, Gene Burkeen, Teddy Burkeen, sisters, Ruth Phillips and Linda Burkeen, sisters-in-law, Dot Burkeen and Virginia Burkeen.
