Carol J. (Carlson) Cimmarusti

Carol Jean Cimmarusti, age 85, of O'Fallon, Missouri, passed away on August 11, 2025. 

Born on December 30, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, Carol was the beloved daughter of the late Howard W. and Rosemary (Varallo) Carlson. A proud and devoted wife, she married the love of her life, John A. Cimmarusti. Together they shared 50 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2014.

Carol lived a life full of adventure, joy, and deep affection for those around her. She had a true passion for travel, finding peace and happiness near water—whether it was oceans, lakes, or boating on Lake St. Louis. She was also an exceptional cook and loved preparing meals that brought her family together.

Known for her elegance, kindness, and strength, Carol was a classy and loving woman who cherished time with her family. In recent conversations, she shared her gratitude for a full and meaningful life, saying she was able to do everything she ever wanted.

Carol is survived by her loving son, Jeff (Michelle) Cimmarusti of Saint Charles, MO; cherished grandchildren, Nick Cimmarusti and Danielle (Chris) Turgeon; and treasured great-granddaughters, Olivia and Isabelle. She is preceded in death by her husband, John A. Cimmarusti; her parents, Howard and Rosemary Carlson; and her beloved son, John H. Cimmarusti.

Carol’s warmth, grace, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
