Carol (Hoff) Clark

Carol Jane Clark, a devoted nurse's aide and beloved mother and grandmother passed away on February 24, 2025 at the age of 81. 
Born on December 2, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri to Oliver and Bernadine Hoff. Carol graduated from DeAndreis High School. She married Dennis Michael Howald, and together they started a family. In 1973, she moved to Warrenton, Missouri, where she built a life centered around caring for others. Carol dedicated many years to her work as a nurse's aide at Katie Jane Memorial Home. In 1984, she married Ray Clark, with whom she shared a loving partnership until his passing in 2021. Preceded in death by her parents, daughter Mary Winter, and son Dan Howald. 

Carol is survived by her sons Tim and Robert Howald, Carol Howald, step-son Tim Clark, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever cherish her warmth and humor. Known for her love of Popeye's chicken and her playful aversion to vegetables, Carol found joy in good food, a well-made scotch and water, and most importantly, the company of her family.
