Carol A. (Himmelsbach) Herndon Obituary

Carol A. Herndon of Wentzville, Missouri passed away on May 19, 2026 at the age of 81. Carol is survived by her son, Omar (Jackie) Herndon of Linn, MO and daughter, Julie (David) Stewart of Defiance, MO; three brothers, Al (Marge) Himmelsbach of Bowling Green, MO, Kirk Himmelsbach of Troy, MO, and Wayne Himmelsbach of St. Charles, MO; three sisters, Margie (Tom) Pickering of St. Charles, MO and Mary Jean (Mike) Whithouse of Evanston, WY;  7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Alphonse Himmelsbach, mother, Bernadette Himmelsbach (née Ohmes), husband, William Herndon, brother, Larry Himmelsbach, and sister, Bernice Nanney.  


Carol had a kind and caring heart, finding joy in caring for children and assisting the elderly. She generously volunteered her time at Green Lantern Senior Center and enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Above all, Carol cherished her family and loved spending time with them.
