Carol L. (Ptasznik) McDonald

Carol McDonald passed away on November 5, 2023 at the age of 84. Carol was born October 4, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri; daughter of the late Joseph and Flora (Schauer) Ptasznik. She later met and married Richard McDonald who passed away in May 1998. 

She is survived by her three children, Anita (Gary) Barnum of Florissant, MO, Christine (Gregg, Sr. ) McDaniels of O'Fallon, MO, Timothy (Dena) McDonald of Wentzville, MO; six grandchildren, Stephen (Laura King) Barnum, Michelle Fuller, Gregg (Addie) McDaniels, Jr., Kathryn (Aaron) Wilhelms, Alexander McDonald, Joshua (Jane McCurry) McDonald; 7 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard McDonald, and four siblings.  

Carol was a member of St. Patrick Church in Wentzville, Missouri where she served in the YAC (Young Again Club) Club.  She worked at Mrs. O's Cafe and Pie Pantry in Florissant, Missouri for many years where she made many delicious pies. She was proud of her Polish heritage and her family was very important to her.  She enjoyed family gatherings including dinners, playing games, and just hanging out together.  Carol will be remembered with many happy memories and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
