Catherine Louise (Woodruff) Joste

Catherine Louise Joste (nee Woodruff), loving mother and grandmother,  unexpectedly passed away on March 22, 2021 at the age of 60 after a short battle with COVID.

Cathy was born on January 11, 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri, the third of eight children.  At the age of 14, after moving to Wentzville, Missouri, she met and started dating the love of her life, Rick Joste.  They were married on June 22, 1979 and three children were born of this marriage; Nick, Beth, and Zack.  Her family expanded with the addition of Sabrina and Matt, partners to Nick and Beth, and finally, the lights of her life, her grandchildren Skyler, Sam, and Finn.  

Cathy was an incredibly giving and loving person.  Willing to give you the shirt off her back or a listening ear, she was the type of person you turned to when you needed help.  She was also talented; she loved to draw, crochet, and make beautiful things.  Later in life she enjoyed working on genealogy and hunting for antiques with Rick. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Garthe, brother, Michael Woodruff, and sister, Debbie Zunich.  She is survived by her husband Rick, her children Nick (Sabrina), Beth (Matt), and Zack, her mother Cindy Woodruff, and many siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
