He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his children; Chandra (Jeffrey) Hussey of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Charles Bradley (Melanie) Richardson of Rockingham, Virginia, Matthew (Kasey) Oltman, and Eric Oltman; his brothers, Robert (Shana) Richardson and Jeffrey Richardson; his sisters, Linda Richardson and Paula (Matthew) Cianciotto; his sister-in-law, Barbara Richardson; his grandchildren, Logan Richardson, Charlotte Richardson, Charles Michal Richardson, Tyler (Abbey) Hussey, Shannon (Logan) Renne, Lauren Hussey, and Ophelia and August Oltman; his great-granddaughter, Josephine Hussey; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Cecil Richardson; his mother, Elma Lorene Richardson (née Lough); his brother, Roger Richardson; and his sister, Nanette Richardson.
Charles was the proud owner of Richardson Pest Solution and was well known throughout the pest control industry. He took great pride in his work and built lasting friendships with customers and colleagues over the years.
When he wasn't working, Charles loved spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, and bird watching. He also had an artistic side and enjoyed photography, art, music, attending the theater, collecting coins, and searching for antique pottery. As a young man, he loved sports, especially football, and was proud to compete at the state wrestling tournament during high school.
More than anything, Charles loved being with his family. He especially treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Charles will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his many passions, his friendly nature, and the genuine love he had for the people in his life.
The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville.
