Charles J. Vogelgesang of St. Paul, Missouri, passed away on March 4, 2026 at the age of 87. He is survived by his beloved wife, Alice Vogelgesang (née: Johannesman) of St. Paul, Missouri; son, David (Wendy) Vogelgesang of Duluth, MN; daughter & the late son-in-law, Karen E. (Alan) Bean of Wentzville, MO; brother, Ralph (Donna) Vogelgesang of Moscow Mills, MO; grandchildren, Justin (Mary), Danielle (Josh), August, and Ewan; great grandchildren, Quil, Emry, Oaks, Joel and Andrew; sisters -in- laws, Dorothy Vogelgesang of St. Paul, MO, Mary K. Vogelgesang of St. Paul, MO, and Sharon Vogelgesang of St. Paul, MO; many nieces and nephews; He is preceded in death by his father, Eugene H. Vogelgesang, mother, Barbara J. Vogelgesang (née: Menz), daugther, Victoria Vogelgesang, brother, Eugene Vogelgesang, brother, Kenneth Vogelgesang, brother, Richard Vogelgesang, sister, Barbara Sommer, sister, Loretta Harke, sister, Sister Barbara Jeane, C.PP.S.
Charlie proudly served in the United States Army and was a devoted member of St. Paul Catholic Church where his faith was a foundation of his life and a source of strength and purpose.
Charlie was a valued member of the St. Paul Knights of Columbus, serving as Grand Knight, Chairman of the P E P Fall Fest Hayride, and had held other positions in the council.
Charlie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed the outdoors, traveling and being with his family and friends. Charlie was an easy going guy and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorials: In honor of Charlie, memorials may be made to: Masses or St. Paul Catholic Church, in care of Pitman Funeral Home 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville Missouri 63385.
