Cheryll Ann Wilburn passed away at her home in Wentzville, Missouri, on May 20, 2026.


Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Cheryll was the daughter of Edward and Alta Evans. She devoted many years to her career as a teacher with the Hazelwood School District, where she found great joy in educating and caring for her students.


Cheryll met her husband, Bryan Wilburn, on a blind date, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love and shared adventures. Together, they enjoyed camping and traveling, making many treasured memories along the way.


A talented painter, Cheryll found happiness in expressing her creativity through art. She enjoyed attending painting conventions with her friends and was known for her loyal and caring friendships.


Above all else, Cheryll’s greatest joy was her family. She especially cherished her role as “Nana” to her beloved granddaughters, Lilly and Evie, who brought endless happiness to her life.
She is survived by her son, Curtis (Elizabeth) Wilburn of O’Fallon, Missouri, and their daughters, Lilly and Evie.


Cheryll was preceded in death by her husband, Bryan Wilburn, and her parents, Edward and Alta Evans.
