Clarence Howard Firebaugh

Clarence Howard Firebaugh of Wentzville, Missouri, commonly known as Howard, passed away November 11, 2020 at the age of 86. 

How was born September 20, 1934, in Fredericktown, Missouri in Madison County to C.C. and Caroline Firebaugh, nee Young. 

Howard was the owner of Howard’s Texaco Service in Wentzville from 1968 to 1977.  Howard also was the co-owner of H & S Tire & Automotive Center in Wentzville from 1977 to 2008, along with his son, Scott, that continues the business in Wentzville.  Howard enjoyed playing his guitar and had the opportunity to be in multiple musical groups that entertained in nursing homes and around the community for over 30 years.  Howard’s family was most important to him and he cherished his time with family and friends.  Howard attended First Baptist Church of Lake Saint Louis where he loved to sing in the choir, especially presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ at Christmas and Easter musicals.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. 

He is survived by his two sons, Scott (Judy) Firebaugh of Wentzville, MO and Todd (Angela) Firebaugh of Lake Saint Louis, MO.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Andrea, Ashley, Kenzie, and Brooklyn, his great grandchildren, Carson, Kailey, Adrielle and Adeline, three sisters, Wilma Reed, Myra LaChance, Anna (Jack) Rehkop, five brothers, Gerald (Doris), Harvey (Barb), Cecil, Herschel (Candy) and Robert (Emily).  He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Firebaugh, father, C.C. Firebaugh, mother, Caroline Firebaugh, brothers, Larry Firebaugh and Fred Firebaugh, brothers-in-law, Charles Reed and Gerald LaChance.
