Claude L. Sparks Jr. "Sparky"

Fortified with the sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, Claude L. Sparks Jr.  "Sparky" passed away on September 16, 2021 at the age of 68. He was the beloved husband of Gretchen Sparks nee Doyle of Wentzville, Missouri.  He is survived by his two sons, Michael T. (Regina) Sparks of St. Louis, MO, and Matthew D. Sparks of Venice, CA; daughter, Emily R. (Andrew) Cella of Wentzville, MO; two brothers, Ron (Sue) Szantay of OH, and Rick Szantay of OH; two sisters, Sharon (Vernon) Udovich of OH, and Shelly Bixby of OH; and grandson, Mario.  He is preceded in death by his father, Claude L. Sparks, Sr., mother, Harriett Szantay nee Kramer, and brother, Clyde Sparks.  Claude was a member of St. Patrick Parish.  He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus as a 4th Degree Sir Knight and served as Treasurer of the Knights' charities, Co-Chair of the Wentzville Knights' Golf Tournament, Commissioner of the Thursday night Incline Village Golf League, and was very involved with various other church activities.  Claude proudly served in U.S. Navy for four years.  Aside from his many activities, Claude was very involved with his family whom he loved very much.  He would be there for them to support them in any way he could.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
