Cornelia "Bucky" (Langworthy) Holmes

Cornelia "Bucky"  Holmes  passed away on September 24, 2021 at the age of 93. She was the beloved wife of the late William Shelby Holmes. She is survived by her son, William (Cindy) Holmes of Denver, CO; daughter, Debbie (Marty) Martin of Creve Coeur, MO; Kimberly Rowe; seven grandchildren, Shelby, Melissa, Jessica, Matthew, Buddy (Tanya), Heather, and Jake; five great-grandchildren, Christian, Joei, Dean, Ellie, and Levi; one great-great-grandchild, Damien; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.   

Cornelia "Bucky" was a member of First Baptist Church of Wentzville and a long time member of the Wentzville Chapter of the Eastern Star serving as past Worthy Matron.  She was employed by the Wentzville School District where she was a school bus driver for many years.  Bucky enjoyed traveling and spent several years living with her daughter and son-in-law while he was in the military where she was able to experience Fort Lewis, WA and Okinawa, Japan.  Cornelia "Bucky" was a long time member of the Wentzville community and cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren.  She will always hold a special place in our hearts.   

She is preceded in death by her parents, Orin Wallbridge and Elizabeth Orzetta Matlock Langworthy, husband, William Shelby Holmes, brother, Warren Langworthy, sisters, Jean Dugan and Wanda Alcorn.
