Dale Eugene Boland passed away on May 24, 2026, at the age of 63. Dale was born on November 7, 1962, the beloved son of John V. (Jr.) and Rosemary M. Boland.
Dale was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Troy, where he especially enjoyed participating in the church picnics and spending time with his community. He had a lifelong love of baseball, particularly cherishing his years in the EMBA (Eastern Missouri Baseball Association). His love of the game continued throughout his life as he proudly coached baseball and found great joy in watching his grandchildren play sports.
Dale enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, including hunting, fishing, and cooking for family and friends. He was known for his storytelling, his appreciation for a good cold beer, and the many memories made playing softball with friends. He also enjoyed hosting barbecues and fish fries. Most of all, Dale treasured the time he spent with his family and loved supporting those closest to him.
He is survived by his mother, Rosemary Boland (née Lenk) of Wentzville, MO, son, Kyle (Taylor) Boland of Troy, MO; daughter, Alicia (Travis) Blackmore of Troy, MO; brother, Paul (Sue) Boland of Troy, MO; sister, Elaine Vanderbos of Moscow Mills, MO; grandchildren, Annabel, Evelyn, Mathew, Harper; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, John V. Boland, Jr., brother-in-law, Tom Vanderbos, and his nephew, Keith Vanderbos.
In honor of Dale, family and friends are invited to wear camouflage attire to the visitation and funeral service.
Memorial donations may be made to: Loyal Order of The Squirrels (squirrelsclub.org), at the Sts Joachim and Ann Care Service, 4116 McClay Road, St Charles, MO 63304 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org)
