Darel Lester Corse

Darel Lester Corse passed away on May 8, 2023 at the age of 82. He was the beloved husband of Lorene Corse nee McDowell of Dardenne Prairie, Missouri; He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lorene Corse; two daughters, Cheri (Todd) Lucas and Sandra (Dale) Erhart; three grandchildren, Matthew Darel Corse (Rebecca) James, Alec (Emily) Erhart, Olivia Lorene (Jay) Roe; five great-grandchildren, Whitley Faye Lynn James, Wesley Benson Matthew James, Elias Alexander Erhart, Ezra Dale Erhart, Alaina Lorene Roe;  He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Ardell Corse and mother, Alma Elaine Corse nee Cox.  

Darel was a member of First Baptist Church of O'fallon and had a strong faith in Jesus Christ. He was a gun collector and spent many hours at Bench Rest Rifle Club in Wright City, MO.  He also enjoyed deer hunting, duck hunting, and fishing.  Darel was an over the road freight truck driver from 1961 to 1995 and after retirement he and Lorene retired at Lake of the Ozarks.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed and leaves us with many happy memories.
