Darlene (Pauk) Reininger Gerst

Darlene I. Reininger Gerst of Warrenton passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the age of 86 years. 
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Herndon and friend, Steve Bartlow of Warrenton; one sister, Marlene Hopper and husband, Dave; three nieces, one nephew, and several great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; other relative, and friends. Darlene is preceded in death by Lora Reininger-Hieronymus, husband, Eugene Reininger, parents, Warner Pauk and Ida Rappelean, sister, Arlene Fanning, a nephew and great-nephew.

Darlene was born January 20, 1935 in Marthasville, Missouri; daughter of the late Warner Pauk and wife, Ida Jaspering Pauk. She was married to Eugene Reininger and two daughters were born to this marriage. 
Early in life, Darlene enjoyed camping, fishing, antiquing, and spending time with family and friends. In recent years, she enjoyed a bit quieter time with her daughter, and enjoyed sewing, reading, and cooking. 

Graveside service will be held Monday, April 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Wentzville. The family is requesting any donations be given to American Cancer Society, Arthritis Foundation,  St. Jude’s Children Hospital, or the Ronald McDonald House in St. Louis in care of Pitman Funeral Home P.O. Darlene will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.
