David Lawrence Boland

David L Boland died peacefully in his home in Foristell on Saturday 2/6/2021 at the age of 73. He died of an unexpected diagnosis of cancer. He was a lifelong resident of the Wentzville area.  Born on a 112 degree day 31st of August, 1947 in St. Charles to his parents Viola (Mispagel) and Alfred J. Boland. Loved by his family, he is survived by his daughters: Mandy (Amanda) and Martha Boland, Cate (Catherine) Boenker (Sam) and Stepdaughter Becky Turner (Nancy McAdams). Sister Lori (Scott) Pogrelis. Brothers, Bob (Sherry), Tom (Sandy), Marty (Diana), Steve (Charlotte), Mike (Sandi) Boland. Very proud Papa to Madeline, Vivian, Lauren Boenker, as well as a granddog Obi who all knew he always had a treat in his pocket for them. Preceded in death by: His Father, Mother, Brother: Donald, Sisters: Margaret (Maggie) Koenig and Mary Jackson.  

Dave loved his mother and family dearly, always had the time, tools, and ideas needed to help. He loved to ride his motorcycle, riding across the country to see nearly every corner. As a Veteran of the U.S. Army in Vietnam, he participated in memorials, dedications, recognition of fallen soldiers, and flew both the U.S. Flag as well as the POW Flag. A member of the Wentzville American Legion (323) for over 50 yrs, Legion Riders, Wentzville Community Club (30+yrs), and MO Carpenters Union (Local 412), an Honor Flight recipient just to name a few of his many achievements. Throughout his 40+ yr career as a builder, he built many structures in St. Charles County and his home Foristell. He will be sorely missed by his large family and the community of Wentzville.
