David, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on March 16, 2025 at the age of 88. Born on October 4, 1936 in Ithaca, New York, David lived a life full of love, adventure, and dedication to his family and career. David married Margaret, on May 24, 1959, in Yonkers, New York. Together, they shared a deep bond and were blessed with three wonderful children: Russell, Richard, and Kristina. In 1984, David and Margaret made their home in Wentzville, Missouri area, where they created countless memories over the years. Their love story continued to thrive until Margaret's passing in 2022.
Above all else, his family was his number one priority, and he took immense pride in every moment spent with them. He enjoyed traveling, exploring new places and experiences with Margaret by his side. David dedicated 35 years of his career to Trans World Airlines (TWA), where he built lasting friendships and memories. In his younger years, David enjoyed golfing, classical music, and studying history. Throughout his life, David was known for his love of reading, especially biographies. And of course, his passion for a challenging crossword puzzle. David will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his two sons, Russell (Ana) Heim of Levittown, NY, Richard (Dawn) Heim of Huntington Beach, CA; daughter, Kristina (Scott) Mosher of Lake St. Louis, MO; three sisters, Diane Levine of Schnectady, NY, Marcia (Elliot) Sainer of South Pasedena, CA, Betsy (Bob) Kaplan of Wading River, NY; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Heim, mother, Sarah Heim (nee: Newhouse), wife, Margaret Heim (nee: Fulmer), brother, Charlie Heim.
