David Lawrence Vogler passed away at his home in Foristell, MO on April 20, 2025, at the age of 70. David dedicated many years of service to the University of Missouri St. Louis (UMSL), where he worked in the maintenance department. He was a man who lived for his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored. He was the quintessential fun grandpa, never turning down an opportunity to be involved in his grandchildren's lives or to share a moment of joy and playfulness with them. David was indeed a character, he never hesitated to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word, and his selfless nature was evident to all who knew him. His sense of humor was infectious, and he had a unique talent for finding the funny side of any situation.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Vogler (Weston) of Foristell, Missouri; his son, Brandon (Stephanie) Northcott; two daughters, Heather (Zach) Fields and Shauna (Steve) Eaton; five grandchildren, Weston and Remi Northcott, Zach and Ella Fields, and Hanna Eaton; three brothers, Mike (Jean) Vogler, Larry Vogler, and Matt (Angie) Vogler; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his father, Warren H. Vogler, mother, Mary Inez Vogler (Meyers), sister, Nancy Mattingly and her husband, Terry, and grandson, Elijah.
