Della Williams of Wright City, Missouri passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at the age of 49 years.
She is survived by two siblings, Stephenie Wilson and husband, James of Warrenton, MO and Billy Apel and wife, Amber of Moberly, MO; nephew, Caleb Wilson of Columbia, MO, niece, Caiti Smith and husband, Tyler of Lake St. Louis, MO; two great nephews, Asher and Miles Smith; great niece, Quorra Smith; several aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and many friends.
Della Lee Williams was born October 6, 1972 in Kansas City, Missouri; daughter of the late Billy Joe Apel and wife, Sandra Sue Williams Apel. Della was employed as a dispatcher for the Wentzville Missouri Police Department for 19 years. She was a very giving person who enjoyed making those around her feel appreciated and cared for. She would often bake “treats” for the policeman at the station. She sent care packages to the troops overseas; was the President of the Missing Persons Support Center, very active member of Faith Chapel Assembly of God in O’Fallon, MO; and worked with the Purse Program for Domestic Violence Victims. Della enjoyed everything about preparing for and celebrating Christmas. She had long loved Snoopy and had a very close relationship with her niece/nephew and great niece/nephews.
Della will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and the Wentzville Community.
