Donald McRoberts Obituary

Donald Lee McRoberts, 71, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

Donald was born in Defiance, Missouri on September 18, 1951 to the late Joseph L. McRoberts and Grace E. McRoberts, nee Jones. He enlisted in the Army at the age of 18. This was his career for the next 21 years. While in the military, he met his first wife, Luigia Giao. They were married August 5, 1978 until her passing on December 2, 2014.

In 2015 he met Kathy Chatman. They were married two years later and to see them together you couldn’t help but notice how much in love they were. Kathy was his shining star and now they are both shining stars together.

Donald is survived by his children; Donald McRoberts, Jr., aka Willie, Patricia McRoberts and Gianluca Ferraraccio. His grandchildren, Olajuwa, Taylor, Zack, Charmia and Davionne. His brothers, Larry, Charles, Roland, Earl and Irwin McRoberts; his sisters, Aletha, Rose and Pam McRoberts and Lenora Johnson. A host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, his Army brothers and sisters, who we all loved to hear his stories about. He never got tired of telling his stories and we never tired of hearing about them.

He was proceeded in death by one infant son born to his first wife Luigia; His parents Joseph & Grace McRoberts; His brothers, infant twins and one infant baby boy; Bobby McRoberts, Glen McRoberts and Joseph McRoberts and one sister Leona K. McRoberts.

He will be greatly missed!
