Doris Ann Haake of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away January 7, 2025 at the age of 89. She is survived by her six children: Gail Schellert of New Melle, MO, Jeannine (Michael) Dwyer of Wentzville, MO, John (Linda) Haake of Eolia, MO, Ramona (Gordon) Nadler of Warrenton, MO, Darwin (Samantha) Haake of Wentzville, MO, and David Haake of Windfield, MO; brother, Terrell (Darlene) Dallmann; fourteen grandchildren; Jaime (Chris) Opfer, Stacy (Nate) Williams, Stephanie Markezich, Tim (Stephanie) Dwyer, Jeff (Terra) Dwyer, Rachel (Adam) Peck, Christy (Aaron) Kuntz, Heather (Chris) Hall, Tricia (Matt) Hupper, Brandon (Tori) Haake, Zachary (Nicole) Haake, Ethan (Toni) Haake, David Haake, Jr. (Austin Dodd), and Hannah Haake and 24 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald L. Haake, her dear parents, Melvin and Holdina Dallmann, and sister and brother - in law, Valeria and William March.

Doris was a great lady of faith in Jesus Christ. She was a current member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wentzville, MO. She was an honorary member of Women In Mission at Immanuel, but prior to her dementia she was very active with the Ladies Aid/ WIM group at church. Doris was an avid gardener in her early life and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She also had great love for children as she did many years of babysitting for grandkids and children of school families and after school. She loved all kinds of flowers and especially loved hummingbirds and butterflies. She took note of flowers especially when she first moved to Elsberry Healthcare Center she would pick all kinds of flowers from the yard there. One of the greatest gifts to her was her large family that she loved dearly. All that knew her were blessed by her presence in their lives. Whether it was family, church friends, or her Elsberry Healthcare Center staff and residents, she was loved by so many, and she deeply loved them. Towards her later years dementia limited her from expressing her love for others. We were always glad to see glimpses of that love during our visits with her. Most importantly, we know she loved Jesus, and we rejoice in the peace that she is now experiencing.
