Douglas Scott Karrenbrock went to be with the Lord and his precious daughter PK on Tuesday night, January 6, 2026. Shortly thereafter, Doug, in his final act of generosity, passed on the gift of life to 3 people in need of a miracle - his liver to a 45 y/o male from Ohio, his kidney to a 45 y/o female from Missouri, and his second kidney to a 50 y/o male in Iowa. The one miracle the Karrenbrock family, friends, and community were praying for was turned into three that night by our faithful God.
Doug and his family became members of Immanual Lutheran Church Wentzville in 2022 after attending the church and school for some time. It wasn’t until PK’s diagnosis in 2024 that Doug’s eternal trajectory truly changed. In her eulogy, he shared these profound words: “PK moved Jesus from my head to my heart.”
Doug was a dedicated businessman and leader, who owned and operated Karrenbrock Excavating, Karrenbrock Farms, DG Holdings, and T&K Cattle. He proudly supported the St. Charles County Fair, reflecting his commitment to his community and agriculture, and delighted at being involved in his children’s 4H projects. Doug coached his sons’ baseball teams for several years. One of his greatest joys was cheering on all three of his kids at youth sporting events.
An outdoorsman at heart, Doug was an avid hunter, and also enjoyed being on a golf course. He found peace working with his cattle, tending his yard, driving his side-by-side around his property, taking family rides in his 87’ blazer, and spending Sunday afternoons barbequing, watching football and enjoying family time on the back patio.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Megan Karrenbrock (née: Braselton) of Foristell, Missouri; two sons, Tucker Karrenbrock of Foristell, MO, and Kolt Karrenbrock of Foristell, MO; father, Roger Karrenbrock of New Melle, MO; Mother, Janet Karrenbrock (née: Dockler) of New Melle, MO; brother, Greg (Becky) Karrenbrock of Defiance, MO; grandma, Shirley Dockler; He is preceded in death by his precious daughter, Penelope "PK" Karrenbrock, and grandpa, Leroy Dockler.
Big in every way - stature, heart, voice, personality, faith and integrity, Doug will be missed immensely by his family, friends and community.
