Dr. Gary Ditson Obituary

Dr. Gary Ditson, 82, a respected Doctor of Chiropractic and Acupuncture, beloved father, and proud grandfather, passed away on July 30, 2025, in Clearwater, Florida. Born on November 9, 1942, in Dodge City, Kansas, Dr. Ditson’s life was marked by his deep passion for healing, a generous heart, and a gift for making people laugh. He brought comfort, care, and a good joke to everyone he met.

A graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic in 1968, Dr. Ditson went on to lead a distinguished career. He served on the postgraduate faculty at the National University of Health Sciences and on the educational faculty at Logan College, where he was also a former Director of Admissions. He held leadership roles with the Auriculotherapy Certification Institute and was a Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Acupuncture. He was also a member of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and lectured extensively to both professional and public audiences.

For more than 30 years, Dr. Ditson maintained a private practice in Wentzville, Missouri, where he was known for his thoughtful approach, clinical excellence, and unwavering dedication to his patients. Generations of families trusted him not only for his skilled care, but for the genuine kindness and attention he gave each person who walked through his door. His work changed countless lives, and his legacy of healing continues through the many practitioners and patients he inspired.

A lifelong learner, he never stopped seeking knowledge and generously shared what he learned with others. Whether through formal teaching or thoughtful conversations, he passed along wisdom and perspective—often without even realizing it.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Ditson loved photography and sharing time and laughter with those around him. He had an easygoing, social spirit and could strike up a conversation with anyone. His jokes—shared with warmth and a knowing grin—were a signature part of his personality.

In his later years, he created cherished memories with his family in Palm Harbor, Florida—time they will hold dear forever.

Dr. Gary Ditson is survived by Joan Ditson; their children, Dr. Megan Ditson, Dr. Mandy Ditson, and Brianna Najera; and six grandchildren.
