Dr. Gregg Dickey

Dr. Gregg Dickey of Fairfield, Illinois, passed away on June 12, 2025 at the age of 86. He is survived by his beloved wife Ann Dickey (nee: Pinson) of Fairfield, Illinois; son, John (Teri) Dickey of Lake Saint Louis, MO; son, Michael Dickey of Marshall, VA; sister, Amy (Leroy) Sims of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Heather (Lacey), Matt (Brittany), Ashlyn, Emily (Tannor); son-in-law, Jeff Fisher of Evansville, IN; He is preceded in death by his father, Edgar Barnes Dickey, mother, Mary Isabelle Dickey (nee: Campbell) and dear daughter, Lisa Fisher. 

Dr. Gregg Dickey served the community of Fairfield, Illinois as an optometrist and proudly served in the United States Army, where his dedication and commitment to his country were evident. Gregg and Ann enjoyed 60 years of marriage and together they were blessed with three wonderful children: John, Michael, and Lisa. A devoted member of Cornerstone Community Church, Dr. Dickey was known for his warm spirit and welcoming nature. He had a passion for life, finding joy in playing golf, tennis, and embraced traveling to new places. Holidays were a special time for him, filled with laughter and cherished family gatherings that created lasting memories. Dr. Dickey loved his career and dedicated himself to serving the community, leaving a lasting impact on many lives. He had a remarkable ability to connect with everyone he met, never encountering a stranger. His genuine warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
