Drew Abts Obituary

Drew is survived by his loving parents Carrie (Scott) Sachtleben of Clayton, MO and Eric (Tiffany) Abts of Hannibal, MO; his brothers and best friends Grant (Lucy) Abts of Ballwin, MO and Ty (Maria) of Ballwin, MO; his sister, Josie Abts, step sisters Kelcee (Patrick) Murray, and Kylee (Connor) Cervantes, of St. Louis, MO and Sydnee (Kieran) Derfus of Boston MA, and step brother, Tanner Pashia of Hannibal MO; Grandparents Bob and Pam Anderson of East Peoria, IL and Gary and Linda Abts of Tremont, IL; his aunts Tobi (Tom) Ritterbusch, Carrie (Doug) Theobald, and his uncle Bobby (Ashley) Anderson, and dear cousins Mandy, Kyle, Bailee, Olivia and Emma; and nephews and niece Logan, Calvin, Leo and Gretchen.

Drew attended Clayton High School and graduated in 2021. He attended CU Boulder for his first two years of college, and transferred to Mizzou, after his brothers moved back from Denver to St. Louis, where he was a senior in the Business School.  He roomed with his best friend since 8th grade, Shabir Buttar-Miller.  Drew also maintained close relationships with his friends stemming back to his days in grade school from Immanuel Lutheran School, and Wentzville including Joey Nowling and Griffen McCulloch.  Drew was a kind and caring person with a soft and generous heart felt by everyone he was close to, and great sense of humor. He was laid back, with an easy personality that made you want to be around him. He loved sports, Marvel movies, gaming and snow boarding. Drew enjoyed spending time at his home with his dogs, Nellie and Luna, which he adored. He loved being around children, especially his nephews and niece who knew him as “Uncle Juice”, who brought him so much joy. His brothers, Grant and Ty, were his closest friends and their loyalty to one another was something to be admired. There was always friendly competition in their interactions and their bond was evident to all.

Drew, our love for you will remain strong and unyielding and our memories with you will be cherished until the day we are reunited with you in heaven.  We love you dearly, sweet boy.
