Earl Requat Obituary

Earl Requat passed away on January 25, 2025 at the age of 86. He was the beloved husband of Lavelle Requat (nee: Boehmer) of Wright City, Missouri; He is survived by his son, Wayne (Shelly) Requat of Wright City, MO; two daughters, Barbara (Mike) Bailey of Wright City, MO, Janis (finacé Guy Denson) Requat of Wright City, Missouri; four grandchildren, Dale (Jenna) Vehige, Jessica Vehige, Ray Requat, Tyler Requat; great-grandchildren, Loretta, Billie, Stormie, and Mariah; friend, Patty Robinett; He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Requat, mother, Lucille Requat (nee: Freese). 

Earl, a devoted lifelong farmer of Wright City, Missouri, and cherished member of the Wright City community, passed away. Farming was not just his livelihood but his passion, and his dedication to the land and his craft was unwavering throughout his life. As a young child Earl spoke in German, and collected antique tractors. Earl was honored with the FFA National Farmer Award, a testament to his commitment and contributions to agriculture. He was a valued member of the Wright City Lions Club for over 50 years, where he made lasting friendships and impacted many lives through his service. In addition to his commitment to farming and community service, Earl served on the Wright City School Board for 18 years, playing a crucial role in shaping the educational landscape for local children. He was a member of Immanuel UCC, in Wright City. Earl was also a past member of The Warren County Ambulance Board, where he contributed to improving emergency services for the community. In recognition of his dedication, he was honored as Person of the Year at Strasenbash in 2009, a reflection of the respect and admiration he earned. Further showcasing his commitment to public service, Earl served on the Warren County Republican Committee, where he engaged in local politics and advocated for his community's needs. Earl's legacy of hard work, service, and community engagement will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville.
