Edna Kempen Obituary

Edna Belle Kempen, 93, of Wentzville, Missouri passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020 at the Parklane Care and Rehab Center in Wentzville.

          The daughter of Emmitt Homer and Inez Belle (Spadley) May, she was born September 13, 1926 in Corridan, Missouri.

On November 18, 1955, she married Frank Karl Kempen, who preceded her in death on February 11, 1994.

          Also preceding her were: a step-son, Robert Kempen; a granddaughter, Melissa Errett; four sisters, Elma Tarvid, Reba Botkins, Mary June Favorite and Norma Blything; and two brothers, Myler May and Ray May.

          She is survived by: two daughters, Tammi Pohle and her husband, Aaron of Marthasville, Missouri and Patti Langenberg and her husband, Bob of Troy, Missouri; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren; and one brother, George May of Annapolis, Missouri; and numerous other relatives and friends.

          Mrs. Kempen was a hairstylist for many years.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Pkwy., Wentzville, Missouri 63385. The family will receive friends and family starting at 10:00 a.m. As was Mrs. Kempen’s wishes cremation rites were accorded.
