Edward Huff, Sr. Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Edward Dean Huff Sr., 62, of Wellsville, Missouri, announces his passing at his home on January 26th, 2025, with his family by his side, after a life filled with love.

Dean was born on January 27th, 1962, to Barbara and Edward Huff of Wellsville and grew up with five brothers. Never straying too far from home, he found his love with Dorothy Sue Butler, and the two married on October 18th, 1980. A short time later, Dean would become a father after welcoming his two children, Amanda Sue Huff and Edward Dean Huff Jr. “D.J.”

Dean was an exemplary father and embodied the best qualities of a human: unconditional love, strength, compassion, and an unending generosity that could be seen in his care for his parents, children, grandchildren, many other family members, friends, and community members.

Dean had a passion for riding motorcycles and four wheelers, and in his younger years he would often go on "riding trips" with his brothers-in-law, friends, and eventually his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Dean was a fix-it man, and if it had wheels, he would have it in his shop. Motorcycles, cars, trucks - he probably had Ford in a category of its own, not because he liked Ford but because they were always breaking down. You know you can hear him saying, "Welp, you should have bought a Dodge!"

Dean was preceded in death by the love of his life, Dorothy, and brother Kenny Huff. He is survived by his parents, brothers Philip Huff, Danny and wife Bobbi Huff, Eric Huff, Jeff and wife Megan Huff; his two children, Amanda Huff and partner Ray Aery, and DJ and wife Nataly Huff; his 5 grandchildren, Heather, Danica, Dawson, Landon, and Alyssa; and his 3 great-grandchildren, Drake, Daxton, and Audrey; 2 step-grandchildren Anthony and Ayden; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Edward Dean Huff Sr., a beacon of kindness and love, will forever reside in our hearts, and his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us. A Remembrance Gathering will be scheduled and announced at a later time.
