Egidius "Wally" Gerards

Egidius “Wally” Gerards passed away on September 27, 2021, surrounded by his daughters.  
He was born on July 27, 1930 in Kerkrade, Holland and immigrated to the U.S. in 1952. 
He began his career at Anheuser Busch followed by Sprengnether Instrument, White Rogers, and Joy Manufacturing.  Wally retired from Hunter Engineering in 1998 as Vice President of Manufacturing where he worked for 32 years.  
He is survived by his three daughters; Diane Gerards-Benage, Donna Gerards, and Dawn (Doug) Nance; two beloved grandchildren, Chase and Tatum Nance.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Hubert and Theresia Blaschek Gerards, his two brothers, Joseph and Jerry Gerards, and his loving wife of 61 years, Joan Gerards.  
Wally was an avid golfer, spending his retirement at their home in Florida overlooking the 15th hole.

At the request of the family no flowers or plants please. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice or you may choose to plant some thing at your home in remembrance of Wally.
