Ernest C. “Ernie” Cole, Jr. passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 at the age of 87 years.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Cole of O’Fallon, MO; three daughters, Candice Wendt and husband, Michael of St. Peters, MO, Victoria Ostmann and husband, Bill of O’Fallon, MO, and Cheryl Cummings and husband, Daniel of Parker, TX; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two siblings, Patrick Jordan of AZ and Norma Groenke of Troy, MO; other relatives, and many friends.
Ernie was born September 10, 1934 in Little Rock, Arkansas; son of the late Ernest C. Cole, Sr. and Helen Juanita Kirkpatrick. He was married to Beatrice Orf and four children were born to this marriage. He was a member of Hoisting Engineers Local 513 for many years and the V.F.W. Ernie enjoyed working as an automobile mechanic on the side.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cynthia Cole and two siblings, Norman Retell, Jr. and Thelma Tayon.
Memorials preferred to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
Ernie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
