Eugenie "Janie" May (Fink) Saey

                    Eugenie May “Janie” Saey, 73, of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly  at her home on Saturday, March 7, 2020. Paul, her loving husband of 52 years was by her side.

          The daughter of Charles  and Gertrude (Recar) Fink, she was born November 20, 1946 in Cruz, Missouri.

          On October 11, 1968, at St. Rose of Lima Church in DeSoto, Missouri, she married Paul P. Saey, Jr. and he survives.

          Also surviving her are: two daughters, Tamara Saey of St. Louis, Missouri and Katherine “Beth” Bray and her husband, Scott of O’Fallon, Missouri; three grandchildren, Sean R. Bray, Grace E. Bray and Audrey J. Bray; one sister, Mary Ellen Pelc and her husband, Don of the state of Oregon; and one brother, Gerald Fink and his wife, Lorna of DeSoto, Missouri.

          She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ronald Fink, Sr. and E. Duane Fink.

          Janie was passionate about nursing, medicine and served as a Registered Nurse for SSM Hospital for over 40 years. She attended St. Pius X School in Festus, Missouri. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening. Her greatest love was caring for her family and her husband. She was the best grandma ever.

A Celebration of Janie’s Life will be from 4 until 7 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2020 at Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville, Missouri (636-290-6453). Memorial donations may be made to SSM Health Foundation www.givetossmhealth.org/donate/
