Ezra Franklin Williams of O’Fallon, Missouri passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022 at the age of 89 years.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi Williams of O’Fallon, MO; one son, Michael Williams; three grandchildren, two sisters, Jo Petit of Dexter, MO and Louise Sampson of Arnold, MO; other relatives, and friends.
Ezra Franklin Williams was born February 2, 1933 in Bell City, Missouri; son of the late Ezra Williams and wife, Mildred Cook Williams. Frank grew up in Southeast Missouri. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines from November 28, 1951 to November 27, 1954. He received the Korean Service Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Citation, and a Purple Heart. He married Erma Shults and two children were born to this marriage. Erma passed away 1992. In October of 1992, Frank married Naomi Riley and they made their home in O’Fallon. He worked at the Winfield Lock and Dam for 30 years.
Frank was a member of Oakridge Baptist Church in O’Fallon, O’Fallon V.F.W., member Chapter 6 Korean War Veterans, past State Commander of Korean War Veterans, National Director of Korean War Veterans, and the Wentzville Masonic Lodge. Frank loved to fish and garden.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Williams and two sisters, Rose Fast and Helen Penergraff.
