Frank E. Myers Obituary
Frank E. Myers passed away on July 24, 2026, at the age of 89. His family meant the world to him. He is survived by his son, Tim Myers (Kelli), and two daughters, Cindy Myers (Christy Parker) and Cathy McCandless (Dan) and also his brother, Robert Myers (Jan). He is also survived by his seven grandchildren: Jessica Burlamachi (Mike), Mallery Truer (Josh), Tony Myers, Laurel James (Jack), Cale McCandless, Cassidy Parker, and Callan Parker, and one great-granddaughter, Juliana Burlamachi. He was also looking forward to meeting his second great granddaughter arriving in November 2026. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Catherine (Kittie), and his parents, Elmer and Liz Myers of Eureka, IL.
Born in Eureka, IL, Frank graduated from Eureka High School and attended Eureka College. He married Kittie on June 20, 1959. They owned The Chanticleer restaurant where they both worked hard and have many lasting memories from their days on both sides of the bar. Some of his favorite memories from the tavern were the Golf Stag Nights, the many steak frys, and Christmas Eve Tom and Jerry drinks.
They bought Myers’ Homestead restaurant in Metamora, IL in 1986 and retired in 2000 after being in the restaurant business for 41 years. They retired to Lake of the Ozarks and enjoyed many days on the boat with friends and family.
Frank enjoyed fishing with his grandsons and neighbors, poker, and having a beer with friends and family.
Frank was a board member of Goodfield State Bank in Goodfield, IL for 26 years.
Kittie and Frank moved to The Boulevard independent living community in August 2022. Frank served on the executive board and was a founding member of the Kansas City Chiefs Fan Club. He moved to assisted living in July 2025 and made many good friends there at the “guys’ table”.
Frank was most known for his kind and generous spirit that he had up to the end. He probably had the most fun during his family vacations to Lake of the Ozarks. Always planning activities and dinners for the entire resort, Frank was the heart of the party.
Residents of The Boulevard are welcome to join us to honor Frank’s memory on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 2-3 pm in Assisted Living for an open house. We will continue to celebrate his life at Rizzo’s Bar and Grill (1155 Wentzville Pkwy #145) in Wentzville, MO, from 4-6 pm. We will get to share a few drinks, some great food, laughter, and stories together.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family is requesting donations be sent to The Boulevard Tip Fund. Frank would have loved to thank all the employees of the Boulevard who were very special. They all loved Frank and Kittie so much and took such good care of them both. Send donations to The Boulevard Wentzville Tip Fund, ℅ Deidre Rombach, 110 Perry Cate Blvd, Wentzville, MO 63385.
