George LeRoy Finke, age 83, of High Hill, Missouri, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026.
LeRoy was born on September 12, 1943, in Big Springs, Missouri, to the late George W. and Bertha Finke (née Meyer).
On June 10, 1972, LeRoy married the love of his life, Brenda Brown, at St. John UCC in High Hill. Together they shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. LeRoy worked for Binkley for 25 years before retiring. In addition to his career, he farmed full-time, raising cattle, hogs, and grain. LeRoy proudly served his country in the Army National Guard from 1964-1970.
Family meant everything to LeRoy. He was deeply proud of the family he raised and the sacrifices he made for them throughout his life. He was an active member of St. John UCC in High Hill, the Jonesburg Masonic Lodge #457, and Eastern Star Chapter #323 for over 50 years. LeRoy was a Master Mason with the Jonesburg Lodge.
In his spare time, LeRoy enjoyed fishing and spending quality time with his family, moments he cherished greatly.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda Finke (née Brown) of High Hill, Missouri; his children, Debbie (Greg) Schneider (née Belt), Crystal (Richard) Lockett of Jonesburg, Missouri, and Steven Finke of Fulton, Missouri; his brother, Kenneth (Anita) Finke of Montgomery City, Missouri; five grandchildren, Chad (Erica) Schneider, Eric (Sydney) Schneider, Justin Lockett, Abby (Drew) Mizer, and Alexis Lockett; and four great-grandchildren, Brynn, Chase, Easton, and Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
LeRoy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
