Glennon Stelzer Obituary

Glennon H. Stelzer passed away on March 16, 2020 at the age of 92. He was the beloved husband of the late Ruth Stelzer nee Koernschild of Augusta, Missouri; He is survived by his son, Lyndon G. Stelzer of Foristell, MO; daughter, Glenda K. Drier of Augusta, MO; grandchildren, Justin Ballmann, Geoffrey Ballmann, Helena Ballmann; great-grandsons, Austin Ballmann, James Ballmann, Jack Ballmann; He was preceded in death by his father, Emil Stelzer, mother, Hilda Stelzer, wife, Ruth E. Stelzer, brother, Palmer Stelzer, sister, Carol Hoffmann. Glennon was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Augusta, Missouri, Korean War Veteran Association, Christ Lutheran Church Men's Club, Lions Club, East Central, Missouri and American Angus Associations, St. Charles and Missouri Cattlemen's Associations. He participated in the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. Glennon proudly served our country in the US Army from 1951 to 1953 in Korea. He was a graduate of Augusta High School and worked at St. Louis County Water Company for 25 years. He and Ruth spent 61 wonderful years together on their farm in Augusta. Glennon had a very strong faith and he loved his family and spending time with others. Glennon also enjoyed working the Beef House at the State Fair in previous years.
