Harold (Sonny) Dewayne Vaughan Jr., 74, of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 10, 2020 in Wentzville, Missouri. He was born on June 15, 1946 in Stover, MO, a son of Harold Dewayne Vaughan Sr. and the late Gladys Nell (Braden) Vaughan. Harold was united in marriage to Jacqueline Pavelec on July 8, 1967 and to this union one daughter, Michelle, was born. Harold graduated from Versailles High School and was a truck driver by trade. Harold enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, racing and playing poker. He liked making memories with his family at the Lake of the Ozarks and traveling out West. He always brought a smile to people’s faces and was a fun loving man, who will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Vaughan of Wentzville, MO; one daughter, Michelle Vaughan (Josh Mayes) of Troy, MO ; brothers and sisters: Gladys (Kenny) Baker, Wanda Sue Lewis, and James (Margaret) Vaughan; granddaughter Camaron Mayes; nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Vaughan. Family and friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Pitman Funeral Home, located at 1545 Wentzville Parkway, MO 63385.
